Nana

We were so astounded and pleased to see how excited Zeke was to see all of our family in Florida. One of the many downsides of being so far away from family is worrying that Zeke doesn't get to see them often enough and build attachments. As usual, though, there was no reason for me to worry -- other than it being my nature. From the moment we got out of the car, he waved and said hello to everyone by name. (I'd prepared him for the trip by showing him pictures of everyone from our last few trips and practicing names with him.) He wasn't shy at all and even as the evening got late and his bedtime came and went, he wanted to visit with everyone, especially his great grandmother. He went into Nana's room and sat with her on her couch, sang her some songs, drew for her and then drew with everyone. I'm so happy to have these photos of them together -- the middle photo is my favorite!

What precious photos and ones you'll cherish always. I see that middle one in a special frame, don't you?

It's obvious how much Zeke enjoyed visiting his great grandmother. I'm sure he sensed that all-important connection!

Love to you all,
Diane

These are the sweetest photos of Nobi and Zeke. I am so glad that they could spend some time getting to know each other better.

Those are awesome!! We are very blessed for our girls to have two sets of grandparents close by and two great grandmothers close by as well. My grandma lives in NJ - so we haven't seen her since March of 07!!! My parents are only a 4 hour drive away - so that isn't so bad!!

Glad you guys had a good trip!
