Hair Today...

...gone today! Baby got his first haircut today. I've been wanting to get it done for awhile, but as his curls are the center of much adoration, I waited until the hair started getting in his eyes.

How did he do? Okay. Our timing was pretty good. He had just woken up from a nap and we played for a few minutes in the chain kiddie salon (think lots of video screens and animated stylist's scissors -- no, really) before attempting the cut. He was pretty mellow even after he got into the chair. Here he is giving me a toy.

He did start to get a little antsy, however, when the woman cutting his hair put a smock on him. She gave him a cookie and then he realized at that moment that this was something new and possibly terrible! I didn't get many photos in as I had to help keep Zeke calm so that he didn't lose an ear. When we got home, I realized Zeke had a temperature, so there were probably a few reasons for him to be grumpy other than just his haircut.

Yes, he did lose all of his little curls, but, people, they will grow back, so no comments on it please. No crime has been committed here. Plus, I still think he is terribly cute. With the new haircut and all the running around he does, he looks like such a proper little boy now! And, he is obviously pleased with this new look....
