Let them eat cake

On Thursday, I took treats in for Zeke's class -- little individual cakes and noisemakers -- in honor of his birthday, even if a week late. I admit it wasn't all from scratch, and I did feel like I needed to send home notes with the kids letting the parents know what I crimes against natural foods I had committed. I was pleased though when another mom told me they were just like snack cakes from home -- I thought this was a great compliment! The children seemed to enjoy them as well, from the photos the teacher took for me. Here are some of the shots, including one of what they looked before the kids got their hands on them.
