Watch Me Grow!

We visited the pediatrician this week and again saw our regular doctor's associate. While she may not make Zeke laugh as much as The Good Doctor, we do like this doctor an awful lot. In fact, I like her better in some ways than our regular doctor as she is a little less old-fashioned and likes to ask lots of questions about the baby. I mean, what mama doesn't want to talk about her baby at length? He got two vaccinations (we refused one and accepted one she was willing to delay). We went through the checklist of regular questions and Zeke checked out in every way: sleep, nutrition, habits and, as noted below, speech. He was not nearly as excited to be checked out this time as he has been in his last couple of visits. He was especially upset when we tried to take his Vans shoes off of him and then we had to let him hold them for the rest of the appointment. He even had to hold them as he got weighed which almost threw off the measurement. And those measurements? I think Zeke had been staying pretty constant, but had a mini growth spurt in the past few weeks and it showed. He is now 30 pounds and just a hair under 3 feet. He is getting so big.
